Guy Dill installation at Meyerovich Gallery, San Francisco
Guy Dill is one of the great contemporary masters of American abstract sculpture, collected and exhibited extensively in the U.S. and internationally. Dill’s latest exhibition at Meyerovich Gallery, extended until Sept 30, will feature bronze and aluminum sculptures that interact with the viewer at every angle. These abstract sculptures suggest the lines and curves of bodies and movement itself. Its push and pull of smooth metal forms make the piece appear to be dancing. Henry T. Hopkins, former director of SFMOMA, has found in these works “an intuitive sense of spiritual and physical balance and order.”
