Imaginary Fiends Collage by Justin Angelos & John Vochatzer, 2016
New Works by Justin Angelos and John Vochatzer Meet the shadowy figures & magnificent beasts that dwell in the minds of John Vochatzer & Justin Angelos. Joy Gallery presents the work of two prolific Bay Area artists with their new collection of collage and mixed media entitled Imaginary Fiends. Culled from the pages of old books & periodicals, paper is transformed & given new life in an alternate reality teaming with color & pattern. Like two explorers setting foot on uncharted land, Vochatzer & Angelos push the limitations of their craft through scale, subject & skilled execution.
