For this exhibition, Lauren McKeon presents a series of objects that express a beautiful darkness, evoking a tangled web of surveillance, technology and the body -- an acrylic fingernail bearing the word "wifi," a candle made with the dust of a dismantled and pulverized drone, a t-shirt tie-dyed with human blood, Carefully displayed, the objects attract and repel like goods in some kind of grotesque boutique. The exhibition continues McKeon’s interest in bringing together sculptural objects that have a theatrical or prop-like quality and that suggest an absent body, while engaging the body of the viewer. A poster by COLPA press will accompany the exhibition.
