SMAart Gallery is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition "Life Observed" which features ceramic sculptural work by Lisa Reinertson. Please join us for the opening reception on November 7, 6-10pm as part of the Lower Polk Art Walk!
Reinertson's work positions the artist as keen witness: of the human figure itself, and of humanity's collective relationship with nature. Reinertson's ceramic sculptures express current environmental concerns while resonating with a sense of timeless mythology. This exhibition features her life-size ceramic sculptures, sculptural wall pieces, in addition to small studies created while teaching figurative sculpture courses . Reinertson, who currently teaches at the San Francisco Art Institute, has
exhibited nationally and internationally and is the sculptor of over 20 public commissions.
