New Italian Cinema

The San Francisco Film Society’s oldest program, New Italian Cinema, returns November 19-23. Join us at the Vogue Theatre for a very special evening with filmmaker Edoardo Ponti, Paolo Virzì’s award-winning Human Capital, Toni Servillo’s masterful dual performance in Viva La Libertà, Asia Argento’s moving and semi-autobiographical Misunderstood and The Art of Happiness—the first ever animated film to be shown at the festival. You also won’t want to miss Border—an Italian production about the Syrian conflict entirely in Arabic—or The Medicine Seller, Antonio Morabito’s powerful indictment of the pharmaceutical industry. Buy tickets and see the complete program at sffs.org/tickets.
