Paul Laffoley's beautifully intricate, highly coded paintings engage with conceptual realms of spirituality, dimensionality, time travel, and the origins and future of humankind. Laffoley's background in classics, philosophy, and architecture - as well as his longstanding interest in Eastern thought - informs his theoretical and obsessively researched diagrammatic works.
Paul Laffoley's lecture is presented in conjunction with the exhibition "Dissident Futures," organized by Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, on view October 18, 2013 - February 2, 2014.
