Et Al is pleased to present a two-person exhibition by Nina Cristante and Ian Dolton-Thornton, Per Person Per Day. Ian Dolton-Thornton’s box sculptures enact the private sphere of self-composition inside of plastic storage bins, modified after online instructions for home composting. A range of materials are arranged within: miniature furniture, coffee cups, consumer electronics and clothing. In addition to uses, these objects are ideas at-hand, composing a world around the self. Even the life-sized components fit within the space that they are allotted. Nina Cristante’s video is a total body workout that can be performed at home or outdoors with the need of only a mini band and a towel. The music has been produced by Nina for the workout.
