"Lovers", the central piece of Cyrus Tilton's installation "The Cycle"
Please join us on October 21, 2016, for a celebration of art and life at Vessel Gallery in Oakland. We’re gathering for several reasons: to toast Cyrus Tilton and cheer him on in his battle against cancer, to raise funds to defray his medical expenses, and to launch the Lovers for Cyrus Tilton campaign while we marvel once again at Lovers, the astonishing central work of his installation The Cycle. LIVE MUSIC The Town Chamber Society (with members of Ensemble Miknawooj), DJ Demetrius James (of Mwahaha / White Cloud), and dance performed and choreographed by Oona Wong Danders and Becky Kalinowski, Zack Vieira (of Wolf & Crow), and Lewis Patzner (cellist). Please consider contributing toward the purchase of Lovers so that it can be offered to a museum or institution where it can be pondered and enjoyed for years to come. Contact us with your support and your suggestions for a suitable site for its permanent installation.
