Secrets Built from the Obvious Summer Artists In Residence Exhibit April through June Matlena Hourula and Ven Voisey have been the Artists In Residence at Free Oakland UP. Each has gleaned material from the bountiful donations to create artwork which will be free in July. Matlena Hourula is a Finnish American mixed media artist who draws her inspiration from the fragility and ephemeral beauty of memory. Ven Voisey is a Oakland-based multi-disciplinary artist, working in sculpture, installation and sound.
