The Garden as Creative Source Photography

March 21-22, 2015 – The Garden as Creative Source Gardens are playgrounds of creativity. From design and plant choices to contemplation and expressions of beauty, a garden reveals many things to those who look. Join three master garden photographers who have spent their careers looking at gardens and find inspiration for your own creative work in the wonderful gardens at the UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley. This special program begins Saturday evening (7-9pm) with presentations and discussion on the art of garden photography where each photographer will lay out creative themes and a point of view for interpreting gardens as artistic inspiration. These themes will become the focus for the hands-on workshop the next morning. The Sunday workshop is limited to 36 students who will be split into three groups of 12 for individual workshops rotating with the three instructors. After two morning workshops and one after lunch, the group will convene in the beautiful Julia Morgan Hall for critiques and conversation that will last through supper. Lunch and supper included in registration Registration required: $325.00
