About these paintings Tim Rice says “this current selection of work continues my ongoing curiosity and experiment with a variety of materials and methods…using either tool, brush, prepared roller, or in some cases gravity alone. Some of the work begins submerged in water. Nature informs in a broad sense…and reveals itself ultimately as a process…beyond thing. This intuitive awareness of process guides my activities, always wrestling the duality of intention and non-intention.” A resident of the Bay Area for many years, this will be the fifth solo exhibition for Tim Rice with Don Soker Contemporary Art.
