Wild/Mind explores two fundamental sides of being human – wild being the animal, primal, instinctual side; mind being the logical, & abstracting side. One connects us to nature, animals, the planet, to the universe. The other enables us to separate, to analyze, assess, conceptualize, create. Do you strike a balance between the two or privilege one of these essential aspects of our humanity over the other? Where do you find the intersection of instinct and intellect? Awards will be announced and juror George Lawson, of George Lawson Gallery in San Francisco, will comment about the jury process at the opening reception.
