Birdhouse Open House and Radically Unjuried Art ShowPost an Event »
Its back to school night at the Omni Commons! Birdhouse, the art department of the Bay Area Public School, will be hosting an open house from 5 to 9 on August 28th. Come out and learn about the exciting arts classes and collectives housed at the Omni Commons. Bring your artwork and show it off in our radically unjuried art show! Or make artwork at our drawing or sculpture station to display on the walls of the Omni! The show will shift throughout the night, as artists add work to our walls and take their work down. We will document the art show repeatedly during the night and display it as an online exhibit. We will also share these images with all participating artists. There will be live performances by THE EAST: solo performance workshop starting at 7:30.
Birdhouse is the art department of the Bay Area Public School, a horizontally-organized free school operating from the Omni in Oakland, California. For more information visit www.birdhouseschool.info
